We are currently recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager for our nursing home in Sligo.
Nazareth House is a HIQA registered 70-bedded voluntary not for profit nursing home providing the following services:
• Long Term Care
• Convalescence Care
• Respite Care
• Palliative Care
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to Director of Nursing
Purpose of the Post:
- To manage and co-ordinate the day to day care on the unit within agreed resources to ensure a seamless service delivery
- To ensure provision of nursing care is in accordance with best practice to include adherence to NHM policies, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Guidance and the code of professional conduct for Nurses
- To ensure that provision of the service is client focused and upholds the principles of choice, respect, dignity, privacy, independence and fulfilment
- Ultimate responsibility for the monitoring and review of Care Plans
- Develop and deliver a wound report for monthly Management Meeting
- Staff Management, carry out all Probationary reviews as per probation policy, sickness/absence and clinical supervision
- Carry out Appraisal and performance reviews on a regular basis as per Performance Management system
- Report to Director of Nursing on all requested information for QIP
- Incident Management; regularly report on incidents to management, including route cause analysis, ensure the review and update of assessment and care plan after the incident
- To achieve, maintain and audit standards of care as laid down by the governing body Health Information and Quality Authority and to uphold quality improvement
- Supporting the Nurses to perform at their full potential
- Ensure that excellent communication exists between staff, residents and family
Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications:
- Be registered on the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
- Must hold a management qualification or be willing to undertake a management course that theoretically supports the role
